Data Indicator 10 - Dublin Port Tonnage

Passenger throughput at Dublin Airport reached a new high in Q2 2026. A total of 9.66 million passengers (SA) travelled through the Airport, an increase of 2.6% QoQ. YoY growth stood at 3.8%, equivalent to approximately 353,000 (SA) additional passengers compared with Q2 2025. The increase coincided with the start of the peak summer travel season, with football also providing a boost to passenger traffic during June. The Airport’s North American routes carried World Cup supporters from countries including Norway, Scotland and England. The record passenger volumes come at a significant point for the Airport’s future capacity, with legislation enacted in July 2026 providing a pathway to amend or remove the long-standing 32 million annual passenger cap.
