This data set shows the Raw Data of the number of Vehicles Accessing Millenium Public Park.

The Millennium Park is 24.4 hectares (60 acres) of parkland immediately adjacent to the Blanchardstown Town Centre, Fingal County Council Offices at Grove Road, Blanchardstown Library, Draíocht Arts Centre, and conveniently close to the large housing estates

Millennium Park was awarded its first Green Flag in 2015 has retained it each year since. The development of the Millennium Park is an ongoing process, as Fingal County council thrives to achieve a high-quality park for its residents and visitors.

The Millennium Park was planned in order to facilitate both passive and active recreation. The design preserved the remaining elements of the 19th century walled gardens, soon to be restored. Passive recreation is facilitated through a network of tree-lined paths which give access to meadows, woodland, and walled gardens .

MILLENNIUM ARBORETUM REDEVELOPMENT

This project will focus on the promotion, education and awareness of the environmental practices of Sustainability and Ecological Management.

Trees

The Arboretum has mature, rare and interesting tree species which were planted in the 19th century.  New specimen trees will be planted for current and future generations to enjoy.

Access

Construction of pathways with seating will give all members of the public greater access to the area.

Pollinators

Stone walling will provide important habitats for bee and insect life and a Wildflower meadow will provide an important food source for insect life.
