FEATURED Dublin Fire Brigade District Areas

The Dublin Fire Brigade (DFB) operational area is divided into six districts (A–F) to support effective emergency response, resource allocation, and service management across the Dublin region. Each district represents a distinct geographic area with varying residential, commercial, industrial, and transport characteristics. This district-based structure helps ensure that fire and emergency services can respond efficiently to local risks and community needs.

A Alpha – South Dublin and Dun Laoghaire coastal area, covering residential suburbs and key transport corridors.

B Bravo-– Southwest Dublin area, including expanding suburban communities and industrial zones particularly city centre

C Charlie – West Dublin district, serving major residential areas and strategic road networks.

D Delta – East Dublin and docklands area, covering Dublin Port, coastal communities, and commercial developments.

E Echo – Central Dublin city district, encompassing the city centre, major public and historical buildings , and high-density urban areas.

F Foxtrot – North Dublin district, covering northern suburbs, coastal communities, and Dublin Airport catchment areas. Together, these districts provide a framework for coordinating fire, rescue, emergency medical, fire prevention and community safety services across the Dublin metropolitan area.

Incident priority categories:

Echo – Life-threatening cardiac or respiratory arrest

Delta – Life-threatening incident other than cardiac or respiratory arrest

Charlie – Serious, not life-threatening, immediate response required

Bravo – Serious, not life-threatening, urgent response

Alpha – Non-serious or non-life-threatening incident

Omega – Minor illness or injury
